Product Description:

Fresh Egyptian sweet potatoes are firm, naturally sweet root vegetables with smooth skin and dense, dry flesh. They are harvested, cured, sorted and graded for fresh consumption, retail, foodservice and export markets, with size, grade and flesh color prepared according to buyer requirements.

Varieties / Types:

Beauregard — red/copper skin with orange flesh
Bellevue — red/copper skin with orange flesh
Alex — red skin with orange flesh
Baladi — available with white, red or orange flesh depending on supply program

Common commercial size grades include 150–300 g, 300–450 g, 450–600 g and 600–800 g. 

Packaging:

3 kg, 5 kg or 6 kg export cartons, 10 kg mesh bags, plastic boxes or bulk bins according to destination and buyer requirements.
Private-label and customized packing can also be supplied for retail programs.

Availability / Season:

July to March, depending on variety, crop timing and storage program. The main Egyptian export window is commonly reported from August to March, with peak volumes generally during September–December.
