Product Description:

Fresh Egyptian Red Onions are firm bulbs with distinctive red to purple outer skin, crisp internal layers and a balanced sweet-pungent flavor. They are carefully harvested, cured, cleaned, sorted and graded for fresh consumption, retail, foodservice and international wholesale markets.

Available in different commercial sizes and grades according to buyer requirements, including approximately 40–60 mm, 50–70 mm, 60–80 mm, 70–90 mm and 80–100 mm.

Packaging:

10 kg, 15 kg and 25 kg mesh bags.
Jumbo bags of approximately 1,000–1,250 kg and wooden bins around 550 kg can also be supplied for bulk export programs.

Availability / Season:

April to October, with peak export availability generally during the spring and summer months. Cured and stored onions may extend availability beyond the main harvest period depending on the supply program.
